A nation cannot simultaneously serve as a strategic U.S. partner while using its wealth, media presence, and educational investments to destroy the American way of life and obliterate our closest ally, Israel.

The case against Qatar is strong:

• Qatar presents itself as a U.S. ally while maintaining relationships with Islamist organizations and figures that the latter characterizes as hostile to America and Israel.

• Qatar hosts Hamas leaders and has provided financial support to Hamas, including to figures associated with the October 7 attack on Israel.

• Qatar has been a major patron of the Muslim Brotherhood, including longstanding support for the late Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a prominent Muslim Brotherhood-linked cleric.

• Qaradawi used Qatar-based media to promote anti-Israel and anti-American rhetoric. His Sharia and Life program on Al Jazeera reportedly reached tens of millions of viewers.

• Qatar's leadership publicly honored Qaradawi despite his inflammatory statements, including Qatar's emir kissing him on the forehead at a 2019 ceremony.

• Qatar has invested billions of dollars in American higher education. It has given at least 9 billion, making Qatar the largest foreign source of higher-education funding, exceeding both China and Saudi Arabia.

• Qatari university funding is fueling antisemitism on college campuses particularly by promoting pro-Islamist perspectives and hostility toward Israel.

• Qatari-funded universities have reportedly experienced higher levels of antisemitic incidents. Universities receiving Qatari money averaged 300% more antisemitic incidents than universities that did not.

• A federal judge identified Qatar and its affiliates as a potential source of antisemitic influence in connection with litigation involving Qatari funding of Carnegie Mellon University.

• Qatar's influence extends beyond universities into K–12 education. A Brooklyn classroom lesson funded by a Qatar-linked organization featured a map depicting “Palestine” rather than Israel.

• Al Jazeera is Qatar’s propaganda rag. Qatar owns the network whose international broadcasts provide a platform for Islamist messaging and anti-Israel narratives.

• Officially governed by a Sharia-based legal code, Qatar does not believe in freedom in their own country, or abroad.

• Qatar's growing influence inside the United States: Qatar is simultaneously maintaining strategic ties with America while using money, media, education, and relationships with Islamist organizations to destroy the American way of life and decimate Israel.
