What is Trump Doing?!

The President MAY NOT move forward with Iran MOU without Congress

2015 INARA law requires congressional approval of any new Iran agreement, including Memorandums of Understanding, before the President can act.

An outcry is brewing over President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Iranian government.

Not only does the agreement give Iran everything the ayatollah’s regime wanted, but the Trump administration appears to be willfully violating the 2015 Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act (INARA), in an apparent effort to prevent Congress from stopping this massive giveaway to the Iranian regime.

America is a nation of laws. Not even the president is above the law. Tell Congress to hold Trump accountable, and to stop the MOU.

Fax Congress now and demand they do their job under the INARA and reject this disastrous Iran MOU!

“I feel like we’ve seen two Donald Trumps in the Iran war,” says former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann in a recent interview. “I don’t know what happened.”

Bachmann noted that Trump started out strong, talking tough and making promises to the beleaguered Iranian citizens suffering under the ruthless terrorists ruling Iran. But when gas prices went up, the economy went down, and with midterms on the horizon, Trump “just pivoted on his heels,” Bachmann says.

“The text has no teeth of holding Iran accountable,” Bachmann says. “The United States gives Iran everything. Iran doesn’t do anything,” other than continue making the same empty promises about nuclear non-proliferation they’ve been “lying through their teeth about for 48 years.”

Under the 2015 INARA law, President Trump must present Congress with the full text and notes on any new Iran agreements, including an MOU, within five calendar days of signing. In addition, the U.S. secretary of state and the director of national intelligence must provide their analysis of the agreement by that deadline.

Multiple members of Congress raised an outcry. House and Senate Republicans were reportedly furious that the Trump administration gave the MOU text to the press before Congress. The outcry forced Trump and Vance to deliver the text of the Agreement before the five-day deadline. However, it appears that the secretary of state and the acting director of national intelligence have not provided their legally required briefs, which were due by Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Furthermore, the law FORBIDS Trump from easing sanctions or taking any other actions listed in the MOU or any other agreement, until Congress has had 30 days to fully review the deal and issue a joint resolution of approval or disapproval.

Yet the Trump administration is racing ahead in appeasing Iran without congressional review and approval!

As Michele Bachmann noted, this deal is rotten, and so is the Trump administration’s attempt to circumvent the law.

Tell Congress: NO DEAL! Reject the MOU and stop this bad deal!
