Keep Hope Alive
Iranian people losing hope after US-Iran talks
Talks reportedly ignored the plight of the Iranian protesters
Yasmin* is terrified to leave her house, or even sleep, so strong is the fear that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will come and steal her away in the dark of the night.
Like hundreds of thousands of other Iranians, Yasmin took to the streets to protest the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s oppression. She watched in horror as peaceful demonstrators all around her were slaughtered like fish in a barrel. She felt lucky to escape with her own life but now wonders just how long that will last.
Yasmin managed to film some of the protests, and send the recordings to relatives in the U.S., before the Supreme Leader shut down the internet. Now she lives in fear that she will be hunted down, not just for protesting but also for sharing the truth with the world.
Her heart breaks because for many Iranians like her, the “help” U.S. President Trump promised never arrived. The talks held between the U.S. and Iran last Friday offered no hope for help or freedom. Yasmin fears that “all those people who died will have died in vain.”
Push Congress and the Trump Administration to stand with the Iranian people.
More than 65,000 people have been killed since the Iranian protests began on December 28, 2025. More than 330,000 people have been injured. The Iranian people are living in sheer terror.
A “blanket of fear” has overtaken the Iranian people along with a “sense of grief and quiet rage,” said Yasmin, who feels the Persian people have been “abandoned by the world.”
“When you look at people in the street, it feels like you are seeing walking corpses, people with no hope left to continue living,” she wrote in a text to her U.S.-based family late last month.
Three weeks ago, President Trump told the Iranian people that “Help is on the way.” They believed him, took to the streets to peacefully protest in cities across Iran, but were mowed down by IRGC bullets by the tens of thousands.
“President Trump, you said, ‘Help is on the way,’” Sen. Lindsey Graham recently said on Fox News Sunday. “That has to be real. It has to be real soon.” Do it, Mr. President. The people of Iran are begging you to be on their side.”
Senator Graham is right. We cannot urge the Iranian people into the streets, promise help, then leave them to be slaughtered by the ayatollah and his vicious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Join me and Sen. Graham now in demanding the Trump Administration and Congress STAND with the IRANIAN PEOPLE!
