Talk about perverse incentives. It's called "Pay for Slay." And it's one chief reason President Trump wiped out American aid to the Palestinians last year.

But Democrats want to give more money to this maniacal group. House Democrats tacked on $226 million in Palestinian aid to a huge House-passed appropriations measure awaiting Senate action. Some Senate Democrats support the funding.

All this despite an 11% spike in Palestinian "pay-for-slay" payments to terrorists this year! Instead of condemning this horrid practice, House and Senate Democrats want to throw more money at the corrupt Palestinian regime.

And that means your tax dollars will help fund terror attacks against Israelis.

Not directly, of course. But that $226 million in taxpayer aid will free up other funds, making it easier for the Palestinian Authority to keep on giving millions to terrorists who have killed or maimed innocent Israelis—including children, women and the elderly.

Bestowing $226 million on the Palestinians while the PA spends millions to reward terrorists who attack Israel is an utter outrage. But it’s not the only bad idea Democrats have embedded in the massive "Megabus #1" appropriations bill. Here’s another one . . .

The appropriations package also endorses the so-called "two-state solution" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Frankly, it should be called the “two-state failure.” That’s because it’s been proposed repeatedly but always without success—and at times it’s been a trigger for bloody violence.

In the case of the Oslo agreements, the two-state formula ushered in a period of bloody Palestinian uprisings. And when Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in 2005, ceding the coastal strip in a naive bid for peace, Palestinians showed their gratitude by showering the Jewish state with rockets and missiles.

Just imagine what would happen if the PLO took control of a newly created state of “Palestine”—and was positioned and empowered to fire missiles at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
