On April 1, bombs leveled a building in Damascus, Syria, taking out two IRGC generals, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a top commander in Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard, and Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, a senior commander, along with 5 Quds Force officers, according to Iranian and Lebanese media.

As commander of the IRGC’s ground forces, air force, and deputy commander of IRGC operations, Zahedi is the most high-profile Iranian target killed since American forces assassinated IRGC Gen. Qassem Soleimani during the Trump Administration.

An unnamed senior Israeli government official told reporters that the IRGC commanders killed had "been behind many attacks on Israeli and American assets and had plans for additional attacks".

Iran claims the building was an “embassy” and therefore deserved diplomatic protection under international law, (as if the Iranians have ever cared about such things).

Although Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack, Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari told reporters Monday that “According to our intelligence, this is no consulate, and this is no embassy. I repeat, this is no consulate, and this is no embassy. This is a military building of Quds forces disguised as a civilian building in Damascus.”

Iranian President Raisi told reporters “This cowardly crime will not go unanswered."

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei declared "The evil regime will be punished by the hands of our brave men. We will make them regret this crime and others like it.”

Ali Shamkhani, a top advisor to the Ayatollah, also threatened the United States, claiming the U.S. "remains directly responsible” through our support of Israel.

Iranian top diplomat, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, announced on social media that “The United States should be answerable."

The Iranian backed terror group Hezbollah put out its own statement, declaring it would make Israel pay for the attack, promising “punishment and revenge”.

“[Iran] is the main actor that makes atrocities in this region using the proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen,” said Israeli military spokesman Hagari.

Hagari is correct. As you may recall, it was revealed last fall that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps helped fund, train, and plan HAMAS’ October 7 massacre on innocent civilians.

And proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas that are trained and funded by Iran continue to attack Israel and its people at every turn. Palestinians responded to the United Nations’ calls for an immediate cease-fire in their typical manner — by shooting Israelis.

But Joe Biden doesn’t seem to care. He’s moving full speed ahead with attempts to appease both Hamas and their terror sponsors in Iran.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough of our country choosing to appease ungodly terrorists over our faithful allies in the Holy Land, the Israeli people.

As I said above, we will soon be closing our petition demanding the U.S. Government support full victory for Israel in this terrible war that happened as a direct result of Iran’s continuing terror attacks on innocent Jews.
